I got bit in the rear by the art-equivalent of a plot bunny to draw this little guy, and it just would not. Let. Go. So here he is... my hellhound concept sketch turned-finished piece of art.

I'm sort of planning to have all my hellhounds appear differently; this is the second time I've drawn one completely skinned, and I think at least a few are going to have bits of fur/ears/etc. Also, I really don't like the tail, so I may shorten it. Or they may all have different tails. I really don't know yet.

Also, if anything in the anatomy is grossly off, please tell me! I had a hell of a time finding a decent anatomical reference, and if anyone has any pointers on canine anatomy or even a reference, I'd most likely end up loving you forever. <3

Sorry for the weird texture behind him. I drew him on watercolor paper because I really like working with prismas on it. :) Plus it has a lot less flimsy-ness when compared to regular paper. Hooray.

Cool piece... kinda resembles those zombie-dogs in Resident Evil 4.

Oooooo! I think he is gorgeous! I love the muscle and skull! Very nicely detailed! I wish my coloring came out that good. And you are right water color paper does make for a wonderful coloring surface!

You designed that!? That's really wicked, I like it! The lines in the muscle tissue looks so perfect.
